Oh well…it was a great ride.
No matter what, Russia proved that it hasn’t completely forgotten how to play football and the team certainly showed some flashes of scary talent (I’m thinking, obviously, of Arshavin, Pavlyuchenko and Zhirkov.)
Besides, they lost out to the eventual champs, Spain.
